Saloua Benkhouya is Vice-President, Private Equity and Impact Investments, and responsible for the Services portfolio, which includes financial services, marketing, technology, consulting and engineering firms at Fonds de solidarité FTQ.
She holds an MBA and a B.Sc in Mathematics from McGill University. Saloua completed executive programs in Fintech and Artificial Intelligence at MIT and Harvard. She began her career internationally, notably as Vice-President, Investment Banking and Global Markets at HSBC, before joining SNC Lavalin as Senior Director, Structured Finance and Infrastructure Projects. In 2012, she joined Royal Bank of Canada, she worked in Capital Markets in Toronto and New York, before joining the commercial bank in 2016, where she held various management positions of increasing responsibility.
Member of the Governor General's Canadian Leadership Conference 2022, and winner of the rising star awards from Women in Finance in Quebec, Saloua was recently appointed to the the Infrastructure and Finance Committee of McGill’s Board of Governors. She also sits on several boards, including the Association of Québec Women in Finance (AFFQ), Robotique First Quebec and Montrusco Bolton Investments. Mother of three young children, an EDI champion and a mentor, Saloua has been involved in women's leadership development for many years. She’s also an investor in female owned businesses.
